1. MAJESTIC FORTS

• Nahargarh Fort

The Fort stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the city of Jaipur in the State of Rajasthan. Along with Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort , Nahargarh once formed a strong defense ring for the city. The Fort was initially known as Sudershangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means the ‘abode of tigers.

• Amer Fort

Cradled on top of a hill near Jaipur lies the Amer Fort, one of the most magnificent places in India. It is aesthetically crafted out of marble and red sandstone giving it a rustic and mysterious look. • Jaigarh Fort

The name of this fort means ‘Fort of Victory’. Another majestic structure in Jaipur, this fort is awe-inspiring, Built by Sawai Jai Singh in 1726, it acted as a shield for Amber Fort. It features a palace complex, armory and a museum. Both the Jaigarh Fort and \Amber Fort are connected via an underground tunnel. There is a lot of tourists to see here and soak in the aura of centuries bygone. The fort complex has beautifully maintained gardens and a visit here on a winter day is a must.

2. KIDS WONDER

• Jaipur Zoo

As the name suggests, this zoological garden houses the richest Fauna of Rajasthan and boasts to be the largest zoo as well as one of the finest sanctuaries in the state. It also has the fourth largest gharial ( an endangered crocodile species ) breeding farm in the country. It was built with the intention to preserve and conserve wildlife that included mammals, birds and reptiles.
