The current dome was erected in commemoration of Mumtaz Mahal, a Begum of Emperor Shah Jahan (1628-1658 AD), and his late wife. It is a mausoleum on the banks of the Yamuna River in the Indian city of Agra. Who built the Taj Mahal?
